Finish an IllyVoIP mobile top-up after returning from checkout

Return from IllyVoIP app checkout, check the original invoice and distinguish pending payment from confirmed balance credit.

After paying through the IllyVoIP app’s checkout, return to the payment-status screen and let it check the original invoice. Closing a browser, seeing a payment-provider page or returning to the app does not by itself confirm that the account has been credited.

These steps cover the Android app controls in version 1.0.46, build 272. Use your own account and the permissions assigned to it. Other platforms or releases can have different controls.

1. Keep the original payment reference

  1. Start from the app’s billing or top-up controls and review the amount and the payment method offered to your account.
  2. Before continuing to checkout, read the displayed total and applicable fees or other adjustments. Use the current quote rather than a total remembered from another payment.
  3. When the payment flow opens, retain the invoice reference shown by the app. Keep it with the provider’s payment reference if one is returned.
  4. Complete the intended payment once. Do not start another top-up simply to reopen the first payment’s status.

2. Return and let the app check

The payment screen tracks checking, pending, paid, failed and cancelled states. When the app returns to the foreground, it checks the invoice again. Where checkout uses the secure browser, the screen offers Open payment page and Check payment status. Use those controls for the existing payment rather than creating a replacement invoice.

  1. Return to IllyVoIP after the checkout step.
  2. Read the invoice reference and current status on the payment screen.
  3. If it is still pending, choose Check payment status when available and allow the request to finish.
  4. For Payment confirmed, use Done and check the refreshed balance or billing view.

3. Interpret the state correctly

  • Checking: the app is asking for current invoice state. It is not a second payment request.
  • Pending: confirmation has not completed. The payment may need more time or a remaining checkout step; inspect the offered payment page and message.
  • Paid: the service has confirmed the invoice as paid. Reconcile the resulting balance and transaction record separately if they have not refreshed yet.
  • Failed or cancelled: read the specific message before deciding what to do next. A cancelled checkout view and a settled bank or card transaction must not be assumed equivalent.

If you close the status screen while payment is pending, use the existing invoice in your billing history to continue checking. Reopening the app is not permission to pay the same invoice a second time. Keep the original reference even if the browser tab is gone.

If the balance has not changed

  1. Confirm that the payment is actually marked paid, not merely submitted to the payment provider.
  2. Refresh the app’s billing information and confirm the intended account and currency.
  3. Check the invoice or ledger record corresponding to the original payment. Avoid comparing against an unrelated historical transaction.
  4. If the payment is confirmed but the expected account result remains unclear, contact Support with the invoice and payment references, time and displayed status.

Do not repeatedly pay while trying to force the balance to refresh. Similarly, an unavailable account view is not proof that the payment failed or that the balance is zero. The useful evidence is the original invoice’s saved state and the associated billing record.

What to include in a support request

State whether the problem happened before checkout opened, at the provider, on return to the app or during balance refresh. Include the app and operating-system versions. Mask card details, authorization codes and unrelated transactions in screenshots; the invoice reference is usually the better starting point for investigating the payment.
