How to create SIP & Agents accounts
Written by Rexhep Arifaj | January 22, 2025In this article, we’ll show you how to create SIP accounts (also known as Agent accounts). When you create an account on ILLYVOIP, a SIP account is automatically generated for you. You can easily find it by navigating to the SIP Accounts section in your dashboard.
You can create additional accounts under your main account, and a new SIP account will be automatically generated. We’ll explain how to set it up and how to use it.
As an admin, you have complete control over your agents. You can:
- Set their Caller ID and Routing Plans to match your needs.
- Monitor their activities with spy and whisper features (learn more here).
- Record their calls and listen anytime you need (details here).
- Assign leads and tasks directly to agents.
To create a new account, navigate to the Users section in the top menu.
Click on the Create New User button.
After clicking Create New User, a form will appear. Fill in the required fields, including:
- Email: Enter the user’s email address.
- Password: Set a secure password for the account.
- First Name & Last Name: Provide the user’s full name.
- Phone Number: Add the phone number for the account.
- Address, ZIP, City, Country: Enter the location details.
- Caller Number: Input the number you want to use as the Caller ID.
Once all fields are completed, click the green Create User button. The agent account will be ready, and with the email and password you set for this user, they can log in to the portal.
Log in using the created agent account.
On the Login page, enter the email and password you set during the account creation process. Complete the CAPTCHA verification and click on the Log In button.
This is the Agent Dashboard, which provides limited access specifically tailored for agents. From here, agents can:
- Use the Web Dialer: Make calls directly from the platform.
- View Assigned Leads: Access only the leads assigned to them.
- Check SIP Details: Find the SIP account credentials for configuration.
The agent dashboard is designed to help agents focus on their tasks while keeping the account safe and secure.
You can create as many Agents and SIP Accounts as you need. Each account includes detailed SIP credentials, making it easy to connect to external softphone platforms such as Zoiper. To learn more about configuring a softphone or other platforms, navigate to this guide.
