X-Lite is a softphone application that allows you to make VoIP calls directly from your computer. It’s easy to use, supports multiple platforms, and works seamlessly with IllyVoIP. Step 1: Download and Install X-Lite 3
This section illustrates the older X-Lite interface for existing installations. CounterPath now offers Bria Solo in place of X-Lite. Obtain supported software from the official vendor; do not download old installers from third-party mirrors.
After downloading, the installation process is simple. Just follow the on-screen instructions by clicking Next until the setup is complete. Once finished, you will see a confirmation screen indicating that X-Lite has been successfully installed.
After successfully installing X-Lite, the softphone interface will appear on your screen. Click the menu button at the top, then select SIP Account Settings to begin setting up your SIP account.
Log in to your IllyVoIP account and navigate to the SIP Lines section. Copy your SIP Username, SIP Password, and Domain/Server from this section.

Make sure Register with domain and receive incoming calls is checked, then click OK to save your settings.
Once everything is set up correctly, you will see the status on the X-Lite screen change to "Registering..." followed by "Registered" and "Ready" along with your username.
If everything is configured correctly, you will be able to make calls successfully using your IllyVoIP SIP account on the X-Lite softphone.
If a screenshot shows UDP, use it only with a compatible configured line. Registration and working two-way audio are separate checks. Caller ID is controlled by the selected identity and account/package permissions in IllyVoIP.
