On an IllyVoIP account already assigned postpaid terms, amount due, available credit and credit limit answer different questions. Read the current server-calculated figures and your account’s due-date notice before deciding what to pay. This guide does not activate postpaid billing or establish terms for a prepaid account.
1. Confirm the billing mode and current information
- Sign in to the intended account and open Billing → Top Up in the Portal. Check that you are viewing the correct account and currency.
- For an account with an outstanding postpaid amount, read Postpaid outstanding and the displayed Due by date or Due day. A monthly due day is not the same display as a specific due timestamp.
- In the supported app’s postpaid balance details, read Amount due, Available credit, Credit limit and any Payment due or overdue notice. These fields depend on the account’s billing mode.
- If account information is unavailable, refresh when the service recovers. Do not treat an unavailable total as zero debt or as permission to spend.
The Portal and app do not present every figure in the same layout. A prepaid balance page is not evidence that a postpaid credit facility has been enabled. If your expected terms are missing, ask Support to confirm the account’s assigned billing mode instead of estimating a limit yourself.
2. Understand the three amounts
- Amount due: the debt currently calculated for the account. Use it with the displayed payment deadline and applicable account terms.
- Available credit: the current spending room calculated by the service, including applicable balance and unused allowance. It is not a second invoice or a promise of unlimited calling.
- Credit limit: the assigned allowance used in the account’s credit calculation. It is not necessarily the amount you owe today.
Do not derive debt by negating a balance shown elsewhere or subtracting a limit from a rounded display. Payments, usage and account-specific settings can affect the current values. Use the server’s figures, and keep a timestamp if you are comparing them with an earlier screenshot or accounting record.
3. Follow the payment workflow actually offered
- Review the current outstanding amount and due notice. Choose the available payment method and amount appropriate to the account.
- Complete the offered checkout or payment instructions once. Retain the payment reference privately.
- Return to the Portal and check the payment’s confirmed state and the refreshed account figures. A redirect back from checkout is not, by itself, proof that funds were credited.
- If a payment is pending or its result is uncertain, check its status before submitting another payment for the same purpose. Use the billing ledger or invoice views for the relevant recorded details.
Payment methods, settlement timing and credit terms can differ. Do not expect an immediate balance change from a bank instruction that has not yet settled. Likewise, an invoice document and an account credit are related accounting records, not interchangeable proof that a particular payment completed.
4. Read overdue and service notices literally
When an overdue notice is shown, follow the displayed account terms. Some configurations warn that service may be suspended until payment is received; do not assume that every account has identical suspension rules. Paying an amount does not establish immediate reinstatement until the payment and current service state are confirmed.
If a figure looks wrong
First check the account, currency, refresh time and payment status. Compare the affected transaction references rather than unrelated historical totals. If the discrepancy remains, send Support the displayed field, time, payment reference and relevant invoice or ledger reference through a private channel. Mask card data and unrelated transactions. A missing or unavailable total needs investigation; it should never be silently replaced with zero in your own records.
